The Down Syndrome Association of West Tennessee (DSAWT) has social activities for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. This includes our Annual Family Christmas Party, Buddy Walk, and more. We hope to see you there!
Buddy Walk
DSAWT hosts a Buddy Walk each year in Jackson, TN. The Buddy Walk celebrates all abilities and raises awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with Down syndrome in their communities. We encourage parents, families, friends, medical professionals, businesses, and organizations to work together in building an inclusive community. Anyone can be a Buddy!
Thank you to Union University and the Union Department of Education students for helping make this event possible. Invite your family, friends, neighbors, teachers, and co-workers to recognize Down Syndrome Awareness Month and the importance of the inclusion of individuals with Down syndrome in our communities.

2025 DSAWT Buddy Walk
Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
Place: The Great Lawn (in front of the clock tower) | Union University | Jackson, TN
Time: Registration at 1 pm, Walk begins at 2 pm
Registration for the walk is FREE. DSAWT hoodies are $25 for Adult and $20 for Youth, while supplies last. To reserve your hoodie, early registration and shirt payment must be received by October 5th.
Charity Golf Tournament
